Even if anhydrous magnesium chloride is used, halogens and frost will be generated.
2). Since this type of anhydrous magnesium chloride is an industrial by-product, the content of magnesium chloride varies, and the variation value is between 92% and 97%. The user needs to analyze the 2% content of MgCl and cannot trust the supplier's propaganda. Otherwise, it will affect the quantitative relationship between magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride, causing halogen and frost.
3). When using anhydrous magnesium chloride to make the halogen solution, please pay attention to adding anhydrous magnesium chloride to the water several times, and do not add water to the anhydrous magnesium chloride. Otherwise, it will cause violent boiling, causing chlorine-containing water vapor, and harming human health. Since the dissolution of anhydrous magnesium chloride is a violent exothermic reaction, the 2% concentration of the brine MgCl at this time rises from 19.13% to 20.55%, and the Baume degree of the brine is 2.5%. In other words, the performance behavior of anhydrous magnesium chloride prepared brine solution is different from the dissolution behavior of industrial magnesium chloride.
